Guidelines for Poster Abstract Submission
Faculty members from the collage of engineering and Petroleum are invited to submit
posters disseminating their research activates within the past five years period.
A faculty member can submit up to five posters
In order to present a poster, you will need to first submit an abstract. Please
read the following before submitting your abstract:
• All Abstracts must be submitted via the Automatic Submission System located
at http://poster.eng.kuniv.edu/ .
• Abstracts may have a maximum of 250 words and should describe the research that
will be presented.
• Receipt of an Abstract will be acknowledged via email within 24 hours of submission.
If you do not receive confirmation, please email: mzribi@eng.kuniv.edu.kw.
• Use a short, descriptive title. Limit the title to 12 words. Do not use abbreviations.
• Abstract must be single spaced.
• Keyword classification – Please enter up to 5 keywords in the space provided.
• Authors may submit more than one abstract.
Posters
Please read the following guidelines for assistance in the poster design and display:
• The poster lists the methods/strategies, results, conclusions, and recommendations of your study (or research, etc).
• To fit within the display area, poster size should be limited to about 92 cm by
122 cm wide. · Poster authors are responsible for setting up and taking down their
poster(s).
• At least one of the poster authors must be present during the poster session to
discuss information with attendees. · The authors of the three best posters will
receive recognition and awards from the College of Engineering and petroleum.
• Authors must use the PosterTemplate located at http://poster.eng.kuniv.edu/ if
they wish to use Kuwait University printing services. · The deadline of submitting
posters in their final form (using the PosterTemplate) is the 28th of April 2008.
• The Logistic Committee is responsible of printing of the posters submitted before
or on the 28th of April 2008 using the proper format.
• Authors may of course choose to print their posters elsewhere or bring posters
that have already been made.
